The Tenth Degree: An Extraordinary Outer Planet Alignment

A convergence of four outer planets at the same degree across four signs of the zodiac is genuinely rare.
Between July 17 and 21, an extraordinary planetary alignment occurs. Four outer planets converge within less than half a degree across four signs simultaneously: Uranus at 10°24’ Taurus; Jupiter at 10°24’ Cancer; Pluto(r) at 10°19’ Capricorn; and Neptune(r) at 10°14’ Pisces.
Because these planets are all sitting at that precise 10-degree mark simultaneously, they are vibrating on the same frequency, despite occupying different signs of the zodiac.
Faith Meets Evolutionary Power
The spine of this configuration is Jupiter opposite Pluto. Jupiter moves into exact opposition with Pluto on July 20. Pluto(r) remains in an exact trine with Uranus from July 17. Neptune’s trine from Pisces to Jupiter in Cancer coincides with all of these influences.
Jupiter in Cancer seeks expansion, devotion, dharma, and abundance. In our lived experience, it gives the deep sense that things are fundamentally workable and that growth is possible. Pluto in Capricorn represents the principle of power itself, the elemental force of the universal Will, and the purifying fire of catharsis.
Facing each other directly, there is an intense friction born from the opposition itself, pitting a conscious yearning for expansion (Jupiter) against a chthonic, instinctual drive toward a Kali-like evolution (Pluto).
Is what we call faith resilient enough to withstand the broiling cauldron of our primordial instincts, and are our structures empowered by genuine evolutionary intelligence or are they merely propped up by societal conventions?
The Midpoint Bridge
Uranus trine Pluto creates a direct and harmonious connection between the two planets in earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn. The Uranian Promethean impulse for personal freedom and revolution and the Plutonian drive for deep, instinctual transformation are working in creative synthesis.
Neptune and Jupiter align vision and faith across the water signs of Pisces and Cancer, a space where genuine spiritual and creative expansion thrives. This same current carries a dual shadow. Jupiter can overreach, mistaking a passing fog for a safe harbor, while Neptune can quietly dissolve the discernment that can distinguish a harbor from the fog. Expansion inflates the illusion, and the illusion erodes the judgment meant to see through it.
What makes this configuration so unusual is that Neptune sits as the hinge between the two trine pairs, bridging Uranus and Pluto. In many ways, Neptune and Pluto represent the great polarities of the transcendent and the chthonic, the oceanic and the volcanic.
