A follow-up mundane analysis to Foundation Under Siege: A Special Briefing on April 2026.

About once every 248 years, Pluto returns to Capricorn at the same time Uranus transits Taurus. These are the same sidereal positions that they occupy in the chart of the United States. The midpoint between Pluto and Uranus falls on a single degree of this chart: 12°30’ Pisces. That degree is active again right now.

In April I wrote about the activation of this midpoint degree, when Mars, Saturn, and Mercury transited over it in sequence. I did not anticipate revisiting this degree so soon, but the Pisces Pluto/Uranus midpoint in the U.S. chart is getting triggered again.

This upcoming activation links three houses in the U.S. chart through the midpoint at 12º30’ Pisces: the nation’s resources (Pluto in the 2nd house) and the agencies that administer those resources (Uranus in the 6th house). The midpoint falls in the 4th house of homeland, infrastructure, and foundations, suggesting that the meeting point of the nation’s wealth and governance intersects with the homeland itself.

Richard Tarnas (author, Cosmos and Psyche) describes the Uranus–Pluto archetypal energies as a field containing an escalation of revolutionary impulse and the eruption of long-suppressed forces.

The April activations of the 12º30’ midpoint in Pisces coincided with a series of significant developments involving Iran, raising bigger questions surrounding the administration of national resources.

April’s activation along with historical research going back to February 2013 form the basis for the first part of this analysis and are the reason this degree deserves continued observation.

In February 2013, transiting Uranus was between 12° and 12°30’ Pisces on the U.S. natal Uranus/Pluto midpoint.

On February 11, hackers breached the U.S. Emergency Alert System, broadcasting false emergency messages. In late February nuclear negotiations with Iran in Almaty resumed but ultimately failed to reach an agreement. The diplomatic channel closed quietly, leaving an open geopolitical wound.

On July 29, this same midpoint comes under pressure from two directions at once: the Full Moon in Capricorn lands next to natal Pluto, energizing one arm of the axis, while Jupiter, combust in Cancer, sends his gaze to 12°30' Pisces within seconds of arc.

Update July 30, 2026: Iran fired missiles at a U.S. base in Jordan on the evening of July 28, 2026, ending a temporary peace agreement. The U.S. followed with what Central Command called "a heavy wave of strikes" on July 29, 2026. Dozens of IRGC targets were hit over two hours, including coastal defense sites on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz itself. Brent crude price per barrel was up over 7%. [AP report here.]

Shravana Nakshatra: The July 29 Full Moon Trigger

The full Moon in sidereal Capricorn is also conjunct natal and transiting Pluto (U.S. Pluto return) in the 2nd house. This emphasizes national wealth, banking, reserves, and the country’s shared system of values.

Opposite the 8th, this full Moon in Shravana nakshatra places the tension on the 2/8 axis; the ledger of what the nation owns and what it owes. What is accumulated in the 2nd house opposes what is hidden, borrowed, or transformed in the 8th house.

Vishnu in his incarnation as Vamana presides over Shravana nakshatra, the dwarf who asks for only three steps of land, then measures the world and the heavens to defeat the demon King Mahabali. Mahabali’s claim was essentially, "I own the universe and can grant whatever I want."

In mundane terms, this symbolism evokes promises that may exceed the resources available to fulfill them. Vamana used his own footsteps as the ruler, to show that when you measure reality against a claim that overreaches, the claim falls apart.

The full Moon conjunct Pluto and opposite Jupiter in the heart of the Sun, together with the myth of Vamana, serves as a real-time reality check regarding overreach, especially around banks, regulators, and government leaders.

This symbolism invites comparison between public claims and what is actually supported by the balance sheet, revealing where the U.S. may have strayed from financial reality or ethical principles.
